	*News:* Peter Illig's home featured in the Denver Post 8/7/08 On the eve of the 3rd Annual Denver Modernism Show, the Denver Post featured a big article on the home of Peter Illig and his event-planner girlfriend, Dana Cain. Peter and the other artists of the legendary BOOM group created a gigantic replica of Picasso's anti-war masterpiece, Guernica, for the annual Piazza dell' Arte event. Hundreds of artists gathered in Larimer Square June 7 - 8 to create dozens of chalk masterpieces. Peter has joined pal Rodney Wallace and others at "4 Art Studios." He'll be in the studio from 7-9pm. *Friday, July 4 -* "Navajo Art District 4th of July Party!" Peter's solo show, "Cast Shadows: The Jungle Girls Project" opens on the 4th of July! So, girlfriend Dana Cain (hostess of the Denver Modernism Show, the Imagine Peace Paint-In, etc) decided to organize all the galleries on the block to hold a big 4th of July party! Join the fun - with a Synchronized Sparkler Perfromance from Serpent Moon, fireworks viewing, live music, and an All-Gallery Weenie Roast! Get your hot dog at Pirate, your drink at NEXT, your side dish at Zip 37 and your dessert at Edge Gallery! How fun is that??? Oh - and did we mention there will be spectacular art at all 4 galleries? Peter is at Pirate; Brianna Martray is at NEXT, Louis Recchia is at Zip 37, and Tim Flynn is at Edge! It all happens at 37th and Navajo St in North Denver, 6 - 10 pm. *Friday, July 11 -* "Cast Shadows: The Jungle Girls Project" Artist's Reception. Peter's big summer show is always the talk of the town! Pirate: Contemporary Art, 3650 Navajo St. in north Denver. *Friday, August 1 -* "First Friday Art Walk" Visit Peter in his new studio at the corner of 8th and Santa Fe Drive, in the heart of Denver's Art District. Peter has joined pal Rodney Wallace and others at "4 Art Studios." He'll be in the studio from 7-9pm. *August 15 - 17 -* "Denver Modernism Show" Peter is the "official artist of the Denver Modernism Show," which this year is expanding to more than 33,000 sq ft at the National Western Complex at the intersection of I-25 and I-70. Don't miss this huge annual event, featuring vintage and contemporary modern art, furnishings and objects from across the US. Show hours: Friday 7 - 10pm (adm $10). Saturday 10am - 6pm (adm $5). Sun 10am - 3pm (adm $5).
